My hair is only a bit longer than in my profile picture. Can anyone tell me the best way to get started? And how long does my hair have to be? I heard that I can start when it's an inch. My wife and I tried to do them a couple of times when I had longer hair, but the 1st time they looked and felt awful and the next time we couldn't keep them going. (long story) My other concern is that some dreads look absolutely vile and dirty and others look amazing!!! I have heard that they just lock up and kinda have a mind of their own in a way. I've got a nice beer in me, the air smells like woodsmoke and snow, my sister and bro-in-law are coming for Christmas and I had a lovely salt soak earlier. I'm feeling pretty happy at the mo' so I thought I'd celebrate with a couple of dreadshots. I felted some pretty wool in there to make myself feel a better a little while ago and I love the way it looks with my bumpy dreads as they knot up. :D ( Have a look ) p.s.
